Sapura Energy on active trade after Shahril leaves remuneration committee

    PETALING JAYA: Sapura Energy Bhd was among the top 10 most actively traded stocks this morning after the group announced the departure of its president and group CEO Tan Sri Shahril Shamsuddin from the group’s remuneration committee.
    At midday, it was the ninth most actively traded stock with 32.63 million shares traded. However, its share price remained unchanged at 60.5 sen. The stock fell 0.82% or half sen to close at 60.5 sen with 60.75 million shares traded last Friday.
    The group told Bursa Malaysia last Friday that Shahril left the remuneration committee while two independent non-executive directors Datuk Muhamad Noor Hamid and Datuk Ramlan Abdul Rashid had joined the committee.
    The other members of the committee are chairman and non-independent non-executive director Datuk Hamzah Bakar and independent non-executive director Mohamed Rashdi Mohamed Ghazalli. Hamzah chairs the remuneration committee.
