Sultan Nazrin Shah attends Perak Warriors' Day celebration

IPOH: The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, attended the state-level Warriors' Day celebration at Dataran Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan here today.
Also present were the Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, and the Raja DiHilir of Perak, Raja Iskandar Dzulkarnain Sultan Idris Shah.
Mentri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu, state executive councillors, State Secretary Datuk Mohd Ghazali Jalal and Perak Police chief Datuk Hasnan Hassan also attended the event.
The ceremony began at 9am with the arrival of Sultan Nazrin Shah.
After the state anthem was played, Sultan Nazrin Shah inspected a guard-of-honour mounted by three officers and 103 personnel of the Royal Army Engineers Regiment.
The ceremony then proceeded with the piping of the 'Last Post' while the 'Jalur Gemilang' was lowered.
This was followed by the recitation of the ' doa' (prayers) by Major Titan Abdul Wahab and the 'Pahlawanku' (My Warrior) poetry recital by Royal Malaysian Navy KD Kinabalu executive officer Lt Bakrishah Abdullah.
After that, the tune 'Rouse' was played while the Jalur Gemilang was hoisted.
The ceremony concluded with the playing of the state anthem.
Sultan Nazrin Shah and the guests then attended a reception at the Banquet Hall at Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan. — Bernama
