Pestech bags RM57.95m contract from Sarawak Energy

    PETALING JAYA: Pestech International Bhd's wholly owned subsidiary Pestech Sdn Bhd has bagged a RM57.95 million contract from Sarawak Energy Bhd's unit Syarikat SESCO Bhd for the Sibiyu 132/33kV substation project.
    The group told the stock exchange that the project is expected to go on for 28 months, commencing on September 3.
    The site is located at about 35 minutes drive away from Bintulu Airport.
    Once completed, the substation is expected to provide the essential 132kV power injection into the Bintulu city centre, catering to the anticipated load demand and strengthen its power supply reliability.
    The project is expected to contribute positively towards the revenue and earnings of Pestech in accordance to the stages of project progress recognised in the financial year ending June 30, 2019.
    At the noon break, Pestech shares gained 0.64% to RM1.58 with 46,500 shares done.
