Harrisons exploring seamless supply chain biz

PETALING JAYA: Harrisons Holdings (Malaysia) Bhd is exploring a partnership with Nippon Express (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (NEM) in developing seamless supply chain/logistic services.
The group said in a filing with the stock exchange that it had on August 27 entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NEM for the potential partnership.
The MoU will remain in force for 12 months.
Harrisons, which is involved in marketing, distribution and logistics segments, plans to further develop its businesses locally and abroad and requires the partnership of an international logistics service provider to enlarge its business presence domestically and abroad.
"NEM would be able to manage these requirements and become a one stop logistics solutions partner to Harrisons in this regard."
NEM is part of the Tokyo-based Nippon Express Group, which has business presence in America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania region.
