PUTRAJAYA: The government will continue to revise the Sales and Services Tax (SST) based on feedback even after Sept 1, said Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng.
Speaking to reporters at a briefing on SST today, he said the government will remain open to feedback and will continue with discussions, and make the necessary adjustments.
Despite many queries on the tax system, Lim said the government has no choice but to implement SST on Sept 1 or face an operating deficit.
To date, a total of 79,966 businesses have registered with the Royal Malaysian Customs Department and Lim expects the figure to exceed 80,000.
