Media Prima shares up 7.32% after reporting profit in Q2

PETALING JAYA: Media Prima Bhd's share price up three sen or 7.32% this morning, after it returned to the black with a net profit of RM31.95 million for the second quarter of this year.
This was on the back of its on-going business transformation initiatives to become Malaysia's leading digital-first content and commerce company.
At 11.02am, the stock stood at 44 sen with 986,300 shares changing hands. It has a market capitalisation of RM454.77 million.
Its net profit for the second quarter ended June 30 surged more than five times to RM31.95 million year-on-year from a net loss of RM132.9 million in the previous corresponding quarter.
