Four Nafas senior managers remanded for alleged bribery

SHAH ALAM: The Magistrate's Court here today issued a seven-day remand order on four senior managers of National Farmers Organisation (Nafas) including a deputy general manager, to facilitate investigation into a bribery case in 2015.
The remand order issued by Magistrate Khairul Nizam Abu Bakar was to assist investigations under Section 16 (a) (A) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act 2009 in connection with alleged bribery in the form of a holiday package.
The four men aged between 36 and 48 were detained at the MACC Selangor and Putrajaya offices between 5.45pm and 9pm yesterday.
According to a MACC source, the men were believed to have received a golf holiday to Jakarta, Indonesia totalling RM10,000 from a company for approving a project. — Bernama
