Fake SPM, STPM certificate for RM500

A FAKE SPM or STPM certificate can be bought online for just RM500, Oriental Daily News reported today.
The report said a forger has advertised his service on WhatsApp, targeting school leavers who failed their SPM or STPM but are desperate for the paper qualifications to obtain a job or to apply for admission to higher education institutes.
It is learnt that many, whose SPM or STPM scores did not meet the entry qualifications of local universities or colleges or who did not get their SPM certificate for failing their Bahasa Malaysia and History papers, have obtained a decent certificate with the help of the forger, who claimed to have "inside help".
Following a tip-off, the daily's reporter contacted the forger, identified only as Mr Huang in the report, on the pretext of wishing to buy an SPM certificate.
A cautious Huang only told the reporter on WhatsApp that it would cost him RM500 and contacted him on the phone later to answer his queries about his service.
Huang said to avoid arousing suspicion, nothing more than a credit will be shown on the forged certificate.
To allay the reporter's "fear" of possible discrepancies between the forged certificate and the record kept at the ministry's database, Huang gave a verbal guarantee that it would not happen as he had people within the ministry helping him.
Huang told the reporter he needed only provide his name, the school at which he studied or simply send him a copy of his SPM certificate.
"We have been doing this for many years. I can guarantee you that you can use this certificate to apply for entry to higher education institutions or for jobs without any problem.
"We have our people in the ministry, whatever scores shown on your certificate are the same as those kept in the ministry's database. So don't worry."
