KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah government will not marginalise any community in its efforts to develop the state, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal (pix).
He said efforts were being made to ensure the people in Sabah prospered by developing the industries in the state to enable more jobs to be created.
"We (state government) realised and know that it is important to develop Sabah's economy, and state wealth must be improved and shared with the people.
"We do not want leaders to be rich, when the people are poor," he said at the Gaya Street Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival here tonight.
Mohd Shafie also thanked the Chinese community for their support and hoped they would take part in the development of Sabah. — Bernama
