TM Treating existing customers unfairly

I THINK I speak for many existing subscribers of Telekom Malaysia's (TM) Unifi package, some of whom may not even be aware that they are now being overcharged, after TM agreed to review its pricing at the urging of the new Communications and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo.
I wish to bring to the attention of the minister that the so-called review by TM has only benefitted new subscribers. Long-term, loyal subscribers of Unifi are still being charged the ridiculously high price for absolutely slow speeds.
To illustrate, I am being charged the old rate of RM177.15 (with taxes) for 30mbps while the new deal offered for new subscribers is RM129 for faster 100mbps. The new rate for 30mbps is only RM79 though it comes with some limitations on calls to fixed and other lines (which are of no real interest to many subscribers).
I contacted TM's consumer service line, and the service representative confirmed that the new rates were only applicable for new subscribers and current subscribers should wait for an upgrade that promises to increase the current speed by 10 times. Thus, I am to wait for my speed to be increased to 300mps (at the same charges).
However, she was uncertain as to when the upgrade would occur as it was being undertaken "in phases". She indicated that the latest could be by June 2019 (in which case I would have paid a whopping RM1,770 for 10 more months of 30mbps speed.)
When I suggested in that case I may as well cancel my line and reapply once the upgrade is complete she said those who cancel may not be eligible for the free upgrade. Why should existing subscribers be penalised in this way? Why can't TM simply lower charges for all subscribers (existing and new)? I hope our minister can look into this matter urgently.
