Review of RMK 11 a continuation of what BN has achieved: Najib

KUALA LUMPUR: Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak (pix) said that the review of the 11th Malaysian Plan which was tabled in Parliament today is a continuation of what the Barisan Nasional government has achieved.
He said that although he supports the some of the reforms of the 11MP regarding good governance, he added that the glaring detail that the government missed out on was the promises that were made in the Pakatan Harapan manifesto.
"None of the promises made in the manifesto were in the ranking of the plan, that means what was promised to the Rakyat won't be fulfilled."
"Including the abolishment of tolls and the PTPTN, petrol prices and many more," he said at a press conference at parliament after the tabling of the government's mid term review of the 11th Malaysia Plan in the Dewan Rakyat, here, today.
He also took a jibe at the government by saying that the debt to GDP had decreased from 54% to 50% during the BN's time in government.
"They are saying that our government was wasteful if it was then how did the debt go down?" he asked.
He also said that the fiscal deficit had gone down under his time as premier and that the current government is just using these labels without facts and data.
"They are just labelling us as wasteful but it's not supported by data in the 11MP," he said.
