PETALING JAYA: MyEG Services Bhd and its board of directors are not the subjects of investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
The company told Bursa Malaysia that it had received a letter from the MACC confirming and clarifying that MyEG and its board of directors are not under the investigation and are not a party to the investigation leading to the charges against the former Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
MyEG has denied any wrongdoings in the concession award process.
Its share price nosedived today after it was implicated in the charges against Ahmad Zahid, who faces 45 charges of money laundering, criminal breach of trust and corruption.
The stock was down 37 sen or 24.7% to RM1.13 at the midday break before a trading suspension in the afternoon session to pave way for the announcements.
