Three foreigners shot dead following burglary attempt

GEORGE TOWN: Three foreigners believed to have been actively involved in a series of house break-ins were shot dead at Puncak Bukit Mutiara, Tanjung Bungah, this morning.
In the 5am incident, the suspects tried to attack police who were conducting checks following a report from a resident in the neighbourhood of a break-in.
This forced the cops to open fire at the suspects as they fled to the bushes around the neigbourhood.
Penang police chief Datuk Seri A. Thaiveegan, in a statement to media, confirmed the incident.
