SHAH ALAM: Taman Medan Assemblyman Haniza Talha (pix) is PKR’s new Women’s Chief while Sementa Assemblyman Dr Daroyah Alwi is her deputy.
Haniza takes over from Zuraida Kamaruddin following an announcement by the party’s election committee (JPP) secretary Ismail Yusuff.
The announcement was made by the election committee at PKR’s 13th National Congress which is being held at the Ideal Convention Centre in Shah Alam from Nov 16 to 18.
Faizah Ariffin, Sangetha Jayakumar and Wasanthee Sinnasamy will be the wing’s newly-elected vice chiefs with 20 exco announced for the new term, among them Catherine Jok Uvang, Ginie Lim Siew Lin, Hasmorni Tamby, Juwairiya Zulkifli and Kavitha Chandragesen.
