KUANTAN: An unemployed man was charged in the magistrate’s court here today with the murder of a clerk at the Pahang Land and Mines Office early this month.
Hasnan Wahab, 35, from Taman Sungai Karang told Magistrate Nor Azizah Aling that he understood the charge against him after it was read out to him in Bahasa Malaysia.
However, no plea was recorded.
Hasnan was charged with murdering M.Shuhairi A.Wahab, 35, at a house number 23, Lorong Pandan Indah 1/3, Perumahan Pandan Indah here, between 12 pm and 5.50 pm last Nov 2.
He was arrested on Nov 3.
He was charged under Section 302 Penal Code which carries the death penalty, upon conviction.
Nor Azizah fixed Dec 14 as mention date for forensic and autopsy reports and no bail was allowed. — Bernama
