Carpenter charged with murder of future brother-in-law

KUALA TERENGGANU: A carpenter was charged in the magistrate's court today with the murder of his prospective brother-in-law in October.
Mohd Hafiz Mohamad, 29, is accused of killing Mohammed Shukri Husin, 34, at the parking lot in front of the religious office at Seri Iman Complex at 11.39am on Oct 16.
The accused, who was wearing an orange lock-up attire, nodded to indicate he understood the charge read to him, but no plea was recorded. Magistrate Abdul Hayyi Salim did not offer bail and fixed the case for mention on Dec 4.
DPP Muhammad Asyraf Minhad appeared for the prosecution while the accused was represented by counsel Mazlan Md Zain. — Bernama
