Mobile libraries to tour low cost flats in S'gor

SHAH ALAM: Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali today launched four mobile libraries which will tour the state's low cost flats to bring the joy of reading to them.
Azmin said the four vans, named Mobile Selangor BEST (Bring Excellence Into Society) Vans, will visit 1,346 low cost flats in the state involving approximately 1.1 million residents.
This, he added, is in line with Selangor's efforts to head towards a "Smart State" status and for the state government to be more responsive to modern demands and the needs of the people.
"It is hoped that this will create knowledgeable low cost flat communities who are responsible and have clean, happy, and harmonious culture, which serves to be an example for all flats to follow," he told reporters outside the state assembly.
