Three policemen injured after Perodua Alza rams patrol car

KUANTAN: One of three policemen who had just completed patrol duties was seriously injured when their patrol car collided with a multi-purpose vehicle in Rompin near here today.

Paskhalid Osman, 51, who was in the front passenger seat was warded at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital's intensive care unit with head and body injuries.

The others, Azmi Mohamad, 28, who was driving the Proton Wira patrol car was admitted to the Muadzam Shah Hosital near here while Muhammad Husaini Hassan, 25, received outpatient treatment.
Rompin police chief DSP Muhammad Aidil Roneh Abdullah said the 6.30am crash occurred at 134.8km of Jalan Kuantan-Segamat in Rompin near here.

He said Perodua Alza driver, Nur Farhana Mohd Khalid, 23, from Pasir Gudang, Johor sustained minor injuries.

He said the Perodua Alza collided head-on with the police patrol car which was returning to the police station. — Bernama
