KUALA LUMPUR: MCA Youth chief Datuk Chong Sin Woon (pix) today urged party members to look positively towards the government allocations for national Chinese vernacular schools.

Chong, who is also deputy education minister, explained that if party members continued to look at the issue negatively then it would make the Chinese community think that the party always looked at things negatively.

“Furthermore, if we continue to be like this then we will never be able to solve the issue. As a matter of fact, the issue will be made worse as there will never be a solution for it,” Chong said during the MCA 63rd Annual General Meeting debate closing session.

Chong was responding to debates by delegates as to why certain schools got more allocations than others.

For that, Chong said that all allocations are based on the needs of the schools, and all the allocations have been disbursed to the relevant schools.
