PETALING JAYA: Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin said she will initiate legal action against Red Shirts leader Datuk Seri Jamal Yunos for claims he made in a police report on Sunday.
"The evidence is there for all to see. I will take legal action against him based on the evidence," she said in a statement on Monday.
Zuraida accused Jamal of making a false police report of the incident that caused him to get a bloody nose after he was allegedly punched in the face.
"Lodging a false report is a criminal offence and I am sure the police will charge Jamal for doing so.
"As a man, he should just stop bullying others and then blame it on women. How much more ridiculous can Jamal get," she said.
Zuraida also compared Jamal's nose to the famous fairy tale "Pinocchio".
"If anyone remembers the story of Pinocchio, then he will know why Jamal's nose bled. Jamal's nose was growing longer and longer so he must have bumped into something hard and then started bleeding," she said.
Jamal and his supporters pursued and disrupted Zuraida and her Bersih supporters throughout her constituency, mocking them as an LGBT group.
The Red Shirts showed up outside Ampang Point at around 3pm to harass Bersih supporters when Jamal was seen shoving a man in a Bersih shirt before police stepped in.
Shortly after, the Red Shirts and Jamal ran into the mall to pursue Zuraida again when police blocked their way.
A heated scuffle between the police and the Red Shirts ensued, ending with two Red Shirts being arrested and Jamal bleeding from his nose.
