PETALING JAYA: A photo of Red Shirts leader Datuk Seri Jamal Yunos posing with three men clad in Bersih shirts is a likely indication that these provocateurs will disrupt the peace during Bersih 5 on Saturday.
Bersih 2.0 chairperson Maria Chin Abdullah said the viral photo is a sign of trouble to come from the provocateurs.
The photo which has been widely circulated on social media caused netizens to question Jamal's motive.
When contacted, Maria said the picture may show that he (Jamal) may have supporters who are provocateurs dressed in B5 (Bersih 5) t-shirts.
Meanwhile, in an immediate response, Jamal claimed that he spotted the teenagers in a mosque at Kampung Melayu Ampang, in Ampang Jaya.
"I met them on Sunday during Zohor prayers. I consider the youngsters like my own brothers.
"I advised them and they were redeemed by god and have repented for joining Bersih," Jamal told theSun when contacted.
He added the trio were not Bersih supporters anymore because his prayers were answered.
On Sunday, Jamal was allegedly punched in the face during a Red Shirts gathering in Ampang.
Jamal and his Red Shirt supporters got into a scuffle with Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin as she and PKR members promoted the Nov 19 Bersih rally at the Ampang Point mall.
Jamal had announced previously that the Red Shirts will hold a large-scale assembly this Saturday in retaliation to the Bersih 5 gathering.
