Thunderstorms expected to persist until evening

KUALA LUMPUR: Thunderstorms over the coastal waters of Kelantan and Terengganu, and Rejang, Mukah, Bintulu and Miri in Sarawak, are expected to persist until late this evening.
In a media statement today, the Malaysia Meteorological Department said a similar situation might also occur over Labuan and the inland area of the west coast, as well as in Sandakan, Sabah.
This may result in strong winds of up to 50kph and rough seas, with waves reaching up to 3.5m high, posing a danger for small boats. — Bernama
