Agong, Raja Permaisuri attend parade of thanks for Yang di-Pertuan Agong XIV
KUALA LUMPUR: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah and the Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah today attended the parade of thanks to His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong XIV at the Army Square in Sungai Besi Camp here.
The ceremony was held to symbolise the Malaysian Armed Forces' (ATM) appreciation to Tuanku Abdul Halim, who is the Supreme Commander of ATM, and Tuanku Hajah Haminah at the end of their official tenure as the 14th Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Raja Permaisuri Agong on Dec 12.
The arrival of the royal couple at the Army Square at 8.30am was greeted with the "Hormat Diraja", followed by the national anthem.
Tuanku Abdul Halim, whose tenure as the 14th Yang di-Pertuan Agong ends on Dec 12, will be succeeded by the Kelantan Sultan, Sultan Muhammad V. — Bernama
