PETALING JAYA: Some good deeds go unnoticed, but what this one good Samaritan did definitely got Malaysians singing his praises.
In a short video that went viral on social media, a man is seen passing what looks like a plastic bag full of food and beverages to a teenager who was collecting cans at a petrol station.
The unidentified man was seen leaving the station's convenience store and heading straight to the teenager, who was standing behind one of the petrol kiosks, before handing over the plastic bag and exchanging a few words.
After the short conversation, the boy left the compound.
Raja Mohd Shahrim, who uploaded the video on his Facebook account on Tuesday night, said the clip was believed to have been recorded by the man's partner, who was standing besides a yellow Perodua Myvi.
"It was either his wife or girlfriend, I can't be sure. She thought the food was for her, but it was actually to be given to the teenager who was collecting cans there.
"This is life, a life that no minister will understand," he said in his accompanying caption.
The 29-second clip has since been viewed over 1.3 million times, was shared over 30,000 times and has garnered close to 40,000 reactions at press time.
User Bobby Ong said: "May God grant him with better blessings and fortune so he can help even more people. Really inspiring."
Another user, Hezri Ae, commented: "Congratulations brother. Your positive attitude will definitely encourage more people to do what you did."
