SUBANG: Police have caught the culprit involved in the "sale" of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2016 examination papers, said Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid (pix).
"Police have arrested the suspect. The identity has not been revealed to us but it's definitely not from our ministry," he told reporters said after launching the Mamee Monsters' first-ever biscuit "Monster Biskidz" with DHA at Sekolah Kebangsaan Dato' Onn Jaafar today.
On Sunday, a local Chinese daily reported that some senior officers from the ministry were involved in the alleged existence of a syndicate selling SPM 2016 examination papers.
Mahdzir then denied the existence of such a syndicate master minded by the officers.
Following the allegations, the Malaysian Examinations Board (MEB) lodged a police report on Tuesday in Putrajaya.
