Moderate earthquake strikes south of Java, Indonesia

KUALA LUMPUR: A moderate 5.9 magnitude earthquake occurred in south of Java island, Indonesia at 11.10pm today.
According to a Malaysian Meteorological Department, its epicentre was 1,221km southwest of Lubok Antu, Sarawak.
