2.22pm: Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed made brief appearance at the ongoing Bersih 5 rally. 1.44pm: The crowd of Bersih 5 supporters in Bangsar were asked to disperse and find their own way to Dataran Merdeka after several hours of being blocked from progressing.
1.40pm: After hours of delay, some 5,000 Bersih participants from the National Mosque finally managed to converge with the main group outside Dataran Merdeka. Read more here
12.38pm: Due to police barricades, some 3,000 Bersih 5 rally-goers from the National Mosque are rerouting their march towards Masjid Jamek, to converge with another group there.

10.45am: The Red Shirts rally-goers are nowhere to be seen at Bangsar LRT station despite earlier statements from their representative that Red Shirts will be wherever the Yellow Shirts are.

10.14am: Representatives of the Bersih steering committee began addressing some 500 participants at Masjid Negara, marking the start of the rally at the checkpoint. Bersih 5 rally-goers were reminded not to blow the vuvuzela as it would disrupt communications coming from the assigned commanders.
