The calm before the storm

KUALA LUMPUR: The city of Kuala Lumpur came to a standstill hours ahead of the showdown between the yellow and red shirts.
Police road blocks and barricades around the city centre have ensured that no vehicles enter the roads leading up to Dataran Merdeka, where both Bersih 2.0 and the red shirts are expected to converge.
The blockade had started since early morning, as police look to ensure that the imminent clash between the two groups does not take place.
Hundreds of police are also seen manning each blockade.
