ISKANDAR PUTERI: The Johor State Government has been urged to pass its own Freedom of Information Enactment to allow public access to government administration data in order to create a transparent government.

This will also provide foreign investors with the necessary information to make a decision to invest in the state.
On a separate note, Gan quoted theSun's report on the rising number of road accidents and said a joint study needs to be conducted together with the Road Transport Department, local authorities and the Public Works department to come up with a mechanism to reduce fatal accidents.
On Illegal gambling, she said a special task force comprising representatives from the local authorities, police, Rela and Rukun Tetangga needs to be set up by the state government to tackle the problem state-wide.
