Police still investigating Puchong goldsmith shop robbery

SERDANG: Police are still in the midst of investigating the goldsmith shop robbery in Puchong where a group of robbers carted away jewellery amounting to about RM100,000.
The incident happened about 11am on Saturday.
Serdang district police chief ACP Megat Mohd Aminuddin Megat Alias said police who went to the scene have started taking evidence and fingerprints to track down the robbers.
It is learned the police are also checking on CCTV installed near the scene of crime.
On Saturday, in the midst of the Bersih 5 rally in the KL city centre, six men armed with three hammers and wearing motorcycle helmets and vests robbed the outlet located on the ground floor of a hypermarket.
Four robbers barged into the shop, while another kept watch while waiting in a silver Toyota Wish as their accomplices carted the trays of jewellery.
The case is being investigated under Section 395 of the Penal Code for armed gang robbery.
