PETALING JAYA: MCA slammed Deputy Agriculture and Agro-based Industries Minister Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman for vulgarities against the family name of any Malaysian Chinese, and more so, with allusions over male genitalia.
MCA vice president Senator Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun (pix) said MCA is outraged over the childish outburst of word-play over the family name of DAP Seputeh MP Teresa Kok by Tajuddin.
She said it was already bad news to Barisan that Tajuddin has carved infamy to himself with his profanities in the Dewan Rakyat in the past.
"While we sit on the opposite fence and are aware that Teresa Kok’s comments are frequently intended to find fault at MCA, nevertheless our party does not tolerate any form of vulgarities by male MPs," she said in a statement today.
The Deputy Women, Family & Community Development Minister said there is a wide chasm between debating in the Dewan Rakyat over issues impacting the lives, economy and social well being of the rakyat, as opposed to abusing one’s immunity and sinking to bottomless pit levels by hurling insults against the Seputeh MP’s family name.
"Tajudin’s boorish behaviour is a self-reflection of his warped mental thoughts and imagery. Such behaviour is the last expected from a Deputy Minister," Chew said.
She added that if Tajuddin really has any “curlies”, he should apologise to all Malaysian Chinese as well as women folk for his demeaning insult.
She said if Tajuddin is a man with an iota of class and education, he will treat Malaysian Chinese with respect, and will not display awful manners to women.
Chew said perhaps his (Tajuddin) outburst is a self-acknowledgement that any Malaysian Chinese with the surname of “Kok” is obviously more “man” than him.
