Driving better health, hygiene and safety in schools

DUTCH LADY Milk Industries Berhad (Dutch Lady Malaysia) and the Ministry of Education (MoE) recently announced the winners of the Anugerah 3K& Projek Khas 3C at an event in Kuala Lumpur.
The Anugerah 3K& Projek Khas 3C 2016 programme awarded nine winning schools from a list of 32 school finalists (refer below for the complete list of winners). All winners received cash prizes comprising varied amounts of RM5,000, RM4,000 and RM3,000, along with sports equipment worth RM1,000.
The Anugerah 3K& Project Khas 3C is an annual national school awards programme organised by the collaborative efforts of Dutch Lady Malaysia and the Education Ministry. The aim of this programme is to educate and recognise school’s efforts in attaining better hygiene, health and safety among primary and secondary schools.
During the awards ceremony, deputy education minister Datuk P. Kamalanathan congratulated the winners and Dutch Lady Malaysia’s efforts. “Congratulations and a job well done to Dutch Lady for raising awareness among students on the importance of healthy nutrition and exercise for healthy living. These aspects ensure a good and holistic learning environment that will lead to better attendance. Higher attendance leads to greater success for students not only in academic pursuits but in character growth. These activities provide impact in improving the quality of learning in Malaysia for students. It is good to increase and sustain collaborations between the government and the private sector so more beneficial initiatives can be implemented in the future,” he said.
This year, the event incorporated a new procedure for participating schools to submit their entries and connect to receive competition updates – via a web portal. For more information, please refer to the Anugerah 3K website.
