Chanel launches CdMdiary lifestyle portal with Caroline de Maigret

THE French fashion house has launched a lifestyle portal called CdMdiary by Caroline de Maigret, narrated by the producer and model. This showcase site explores multiple aspects of "a lifestyle that incorporates various facets of our times".
Caroline de Maigret and Chanel go way back. The model, who flies the flag for chic French style all over the world, first took to the runway for Karl Lagerfeld in 1998, presenting the spring/summer ready-to-wear collection. Since then, she has always stayed close to Chanel, attending catwalk shows and becoming a brand spokesperson and ambassador in July this year.
It's therefore only logical for the label to call on Caroline de Maigret when choosing a narrator for its latest lifestyle portal, especially since the producer and model previously had no real platform to showcase her world, other than social networks.
"I am extremely proud to have been chosen by Chanel because I love the Chanel woman and what she represents. I love how Gabrielle Chanel was involved in the arts, in literature, in painting. When Chanel asked me to be a spokesperson for the brand, we thought about means of communication to decide how I was going to express myself and talk about the fashion house. Straight away, we thought about creating a lifestyle platform," explains Caroline de Maigret.

Fashion, music, arts
The CdMdiary website is a platform for Caroline de Maigret to share her passions, which are intrinsically linked to the Chanel fashion house in a variety of ways. The emphasis will be on fashion and art.
The platform currently has six sections, including "N°1", featuring essential pieces, womenswear must-haves and tips on how to wear them, "Dressing Talks", exploring various celebrity wardrobes, and "Backstage", for a glimpse behind the scenes at catwalk shows and major events.
Like its narrator – a multifaceted character, passionate about music, books and photography – the site doesn't just focus on fashion. The "Crushes" section features Caroline de Maigret's current cultural highlights, "Best places" lists her favorite haunts and "Music Itw" sees special guests share the songs and music that shaped their lives.
