Taxi driver found dead in car

GEORGE TOWN: The body of a taxi driver with several stab wounds was found inside a cab just after midnight today.
 
Northeast district police chief ACP Mior Faridalatrash Wahid said the passers-by made the gruesome discovery about 1.50am at Jalan Terengganu here after seeing blood inside the car.
 
He said the deceased has been identified as Kh’ng Hoe Keong, 56, and five stab wounds were found on his neck, back and chest,
 
He said checks showed the victim did not have previous criminal records and investigators were determining the motive for the attack,
 
“Police believe the victim was killed somewhere else before being placed inside the car,” he said in a media statement while investigations are being conducted for murder under the Penal Code.
