    The judges pay attention to each finalist as they deliver their 20-minute presentation on their development and another 20 minutes on Q&A with the judges.

ONE of the few Malaysian awards to honour developers of completed property developments which have made a difference to the lives of the communities – the Noble Excellence Awards is the brainchild of TTien Media Group’s managing director Eddie Tan. It is also the first award to brand the property development profession as noble.
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE
The objective of the award is to identify outstanding property development projects and honour conscientious developers who take the initiative to impact the community residing in and around these development projects. Award finalists will be given recognition as living testimonies of excellence in areas of “liveability, the environment and the community.”
Said Tan at the launch of the awards campaign recently, “We feel the need to continuously recognise and reward the good work that has been done in developing better living through modern housing, affordable homes, and building smarter and greener communities.” Hence, the awards, where a panel of judges will assess the projects nominated via public voting. Leading the judges panel comprising distinguished individuals in respective fields with exceptional leadership abilities and foresight is Datuk Ng Seing Liong, who previously held the Real Estate Housing Developers’ Association of Malaysia (Rehda) president and patron posts.
JUDGING AND CATEGORIES
Two judging sessions were conducted, among which Platinum, Gold and Silver Noble Excellence Awards will be presented to winning developers/development projects across 14 categories. These include:
1. Central Best Development of the Year – Residential High Rise
2. Central Best Development of the Year – Residential Landed
3. Northern Best Development of the Year – Residential Landed
4. Southern Best Development of the Year – Residential Landed
5. Northern Best Development of the Year – Residential High Rise
6. National Best Township Development of the Year
7. National Best Integrated Development of the Year
8. National Best Affordable Development of the Year – Residential Landed
9. National Best Development of the Year – Residential High Rise
10. National Best Development of the Year – Residential Landed
11. Best Public Delivery Award
12. Emerging Developer Award
13. Leadership Excellence Award
14. Home Buyers Champion Award
According to Tan, the awards are unique, being the only to assess completed projects. “We believe that recognition or celebration should be given after an excellent work has been completed,” shared Tan. The same sentiments were shared among various industry leaders, which led to stronger partnerships formed between TTien and its partners and stakeholders.
DETAILS AND SPECIFICS
Having surpassed two judging sessions in September and October, the public are invited to vote for their preferred development through the Noble Excellence Awards website and social media platforms. Public voting will contribute towards 30%of the final results, ensuring that the house buyers’ say counts. Simply register and login via the registration link to vote.
Commenting on the awards itself was Ng who said: “Noble Excellence Awards will bring the real estate market to the next level as the public will be part of the judging process. As such, my message to property developers is that first, you must protect the interest of all your property buyers as they are the customers and the one paying you. Secondly, you must deliver quality products and last but not the least, you must deliver on time.”
