UTAR wins design competition

UNIVERSITI Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) has emerged as champion at the Nehemiah Design Competition 2016 held at Monash University Malaysia in Bandar Sunway recently.
The competition attracted 18 teams from a number of institutions of higher learning who submitted their proposal.
UTAR’s team, Future Light, which bagged the RM5,000 cash prize, was exhilarated when their team was picked as the winner for this year by a panel of four independent judges from Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), CIDB Malaysia, Master Builders Association of Malaysia (MBAM) and Chartered Institute of Highway & Transport (CIHT).
Team members comprised Lee Yee Linn, Alice Lim Pei San, Tan Sheng Hua, Yap Ying Qin and Wong Huei Hann. Two other teams, ACES from UTAR and BOB from Inti, took away RM3,000 and RM2,000 in cash prizes for being first- and second-runners up.
This is the fifth edition of the Nehemiah Design Competition.
