ALOR STAR: The Kedah government is presenting a 'Flower Clock' to Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'Adzam Shah as a gift in conjunction with His Majesty's return to the state tomorrow.

"His Majesty likes plants and the natural environment. So, the clock is a gift to Tuanku Abdul Halim," he told Bernama.

He said it is the first Flower Clock in Kedah and would be an attraction for tourists.

Meanwhile, a landscape architect with Brightmark Sdn Bhd, Mohd Yusoff Hamzah, said the Flower Clock was built based on the Japanese garden concept.
The clock is also surrounded with bonsai trees and various flower plants, he said, adding that work to build the clock started a month ago. — Bernama
