Police looking for three other suspects in car repossesor's murder

KOTA BARU: Police have launched a manhunt for three other suspects in the murder of a car re-possessor in Kampung Air Merah, Batu Gajah, Tanah Merah last week.
Kelantan police chief Datuk Dr Ab Rahman Ismail said police had detained two suspects, aged 30 and 37, in Kuala Besut, Terengganu, and in Tanah Merah, respectively, yesterday.
"With the arrest of the two suspects, we are confident of solving the murder case," he told reporters at the State Police Contingent headquarters here today.
Ab Rahman said preliminary investigation on the two suspects revealed they had previous record for possession of firearms and offensive weapon.
They are now in remand to facilitate police investigation, he added.
In the incident on Dec 2, the car re-possessor was hacked to death with machetes by six men.
In another development, Ab Rahman said various types of drugs, worth RM26,091, were seized during a three-day operation conducted in five districts since last Thursday.
The operation was carried out in Jeli, Tanah Merah, Pasir Mas, Pasir Puteh and Kota Baru districts. — Bernama
