JOHOR BARU: A woman driver was detained after she wrote the word "Babi" (pig) in the signature column of a traffic police summon issued to her on Tuesday night along Jalan Tun Razak, here.
The 53-year-old woman had parked her car along a double yellow line at 8.50pm when a traffic policeman on duty there issued her a summon for the offence.
He then asked her to sign the summon when she scribbled the word "Babi" in the signature column.
When the policeman questioned her, the woman replied and raised her voice saying: "My name is Babi."
Johor Baru South (JBS) district police chief ACP Sulaiman Salleh said police detained the woman for further investigation and said she will be charged under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955.
She faces a maximum RM100 fine for alleged "insulting behaviour" with the purpose of inciting anger that may cause a disturbance of peace.
