Bank Negara to host inaugural financial carnival

    PETALING JAYA: Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), in collaboration with the financial industry will organise the inaugural “Karnival Kewangan” (financial carnival) at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) from Jan 13 to 15, 2017.
    In a statement yesterday, BNM said the carnival aims to inform and educate the public on financial matters, including available services that can help individuals and businesses manage their financial affairs more effectively.
    Themed “Your Financial Needs Matters”, BNM said the carnival will provide an opportunity for the public to obtain information on financial products and services, conduct financial transactions, learn about new initiatives and opportunities in business and financial management, and make enquiries or seek advice.
    BNM said more than 100 financial service providers, associations and agencies will be showcasing a wide range of financial services and products catering to different needs.
    “These include financial counselling and dispute resolution services, as well as products and services for savings, financing, investments, insurance/takaful, payments and remittances.
    “Members of the public will be able to perform transactions such as opening savings accounts, applying for financing products, or purchase insurance and takaful products at the event,” it added. More information on the carnival can be obtained from its website www.karnivalkewangan.com.my
