PETALING JAYA: George Kent (Malaysia) Bhd has bagged a RM364.9 million contract for the construction of the 220-bed Endocrine Hospital in Precinct 7, Putrajaya.
In a filing with the stock exchange, the group said it has accepted a letter of award from the Public Works Department for the design and construction of the hospital on a two-acre land beside the existing Hospital Putrajaya.
The contract is for 36 months from taking possession of the site on Jan 16, 2017 and work is scheduled to be completed by Jan 15, 2020.
The contract is not expected to have a significant effect on the group’s earnings for the financial year ending Jan 31, 2017, but is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings of the group over its duration.
