New Zealand lass wins Miss Tourism International

PUTRAJAYA: Ariel Pearse of New Zealand has been crowned Miss Tourism International 2016/2017, here tonight.
The Kiwi lass beat 59 other contestants to win the title on New Year's eve.
Beaming with joy, Pearse, 24, received the crown from Miss Tourism International president and owner, Tan Sri Danny Ooi.
She walked away with a scholarship worth RM60,000 from LimKokWing University of Creative Technology, RM10,000 cash, a trophy and other prizes.
Thaina Carolina Magalhaes Peres, 26, of Brazil, won Miss Tourism Cosmopolitan International 2016/2017 while Tasha Laraine Ross, 21, of Australia, was Miss Global 2016/2017.
Ximena Delgado Mendez, 20, of Mexico, won the Dreamgirl of the Year International 2016/2017 title while Dikna Faradina Maharani, 23, of Indonesia, was Miss South East Asia Tourism Ambassadress 2016/2017.
Ng Shin Ying, 20, of Malaysia, who performed a heart-stopping cheer-leading routine won the Best in Talent title. — Bernama
