Number of flood evacuees in Terengganu down to 884 at noon

KUALA TERENGGANU: The flood situation in Terengganu appears to be improving with two disaster operations rooms, namely in Setiu and Kemaman, officially closed at 9.30am and 10.30am respectively, today.
According to the State Disaster Management Secretariat report, six flood relief centres in Setiu were closed by 9.30am today followed by three more in Kemanan one hour later.
The third day of floods in Terengganu saw the number of evacuees down to 884 at 13 relief centres in three districts - Hulu Terengganu, Marang and Dungun - by noon today.
The report stated that in Hulu Terengganu, the number of evacuees dropped to 347 from 361 this morning while in Marang, the number was at 450 by noon compared to 488 at 8am.
In Dungun, the number of evacuees remained at 87 from 20 families at two relief centres. — Bernama
