Roger Teoh, back with DAP

GEORGE TOWN: Roger Teoh the PhD candidate at the Centre for Transport Studies in Imperial College London who resigned from DAP last year has made a U-turn on his resignation.
In the latest political twist in the beginning of the year, Teoh said he decided to withdraw his resignation after a constructive discussion with the Penang top leadership.
When contacted by theSun, Teoh confirmed his decision and said he decided to rejoin the party after a direct communication channel within the DAP had been established for him to voice his concerns on the Penang Transport Master Plan (PTMP).
"Following the constructive discussion with the Penang top leadership, as well as establishing a direct communication channel within the party to voice out my concern on PTMP, a decision has been reached for me to withdraw my resignation from the party", he said in a statement today.
Roger who was vocal against PTMP said his resignation was the result of a miscommunication problem where his concerns was not delivered to the party top leadership.
On Dec 14, Teoh tendered his resignation and his request was approved in less than 24 hours by the party.
The 23-year-old party member said the main reason for his resignation was based on his principles to make Malaysia better and to speak the truth.
Teoh is a vocal critic of the PTMP project and insist that it should be more public-transport centric.
He is currently based in London doing a PhD in Aviation.
