Fire breaks out at Advance Synergy's Swiss hotel

    PETALING JAYA: Hotel and resort operator Advance Synergy Bhd (ASB) today announced that a fire broke out at a hotel in Switzerland owned by its indirect subsidiary last Friday.
    ASB's shares were suspended from trading for an hour at the start of the day, pending the announcement to Bursa Malaysia.
    As at the close of morning session trading, the stock closed unchanged at 11 sen.
    The company said three guests were hospitalized following the incident, but all but one have been discharged, as at the announcement.
    The Holiday Villa Arosa, owned by the group's 62.49%-owned subsidiary Posthotel Arosa AG is located at Arosa, Switzerland.
    ASB is unable to finalise the financial impact to the group at the moment, but believes it is adequately insured. The cause of the fire is still unclear.
