PETALING JAYA: Keck Seng (Malaysia) Bhd said the financial and operational impact arising from the suspension of its Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certificate is not significant.
Last Friday, the company announced that its RSPO certificate was suspended for 60 days from Dec 30, 2016, due primarily to inadequacies in providing estate contour maps for RSPO auditing purposes.
Keck Seng said it had taken immediate action to rectify the matter to lift the suspension.
The company is involved in palm oil cultivation and manufacturing, property development and investment as well as hotel and resort operations. Its plantation land is mainly located in Johor measuring 3,563ha, of which 3,308ha has been planted.
