Loob's Chatime master franchisor contract terminated

KUALA LUMPUR: La Kaffa International Co Ltd, the parent company of popular bubble milk tea Chatime, has terminated its Chatime master francisor contract with Loob Holding Sdn Bhd due to a disagreement in the direction of its business operations.
In a press conference this morning, La Kaffa said it will take over the Malaysian Chatime business operations and development with immediate effect.
Taiwan-listed La Kaffa operates food and beverage brands in over 30 countries, such as Chatime, Duan Chunzhen beef noodle, Wagokoro Tonkatsu Anzu Ginza, Osaka Ohsho Gyoza and more.
La Kaffa said it plans to set up its first regional operation centre in Malaysia in the first quarter.
