Police rescue two kidnapped women

JOHOR BARU: Police have rescued two women and arrested nine suspects following a raid on a house in Skudai on Wednesday evening.
One of the victims is a 43-year-old Indian national and the other a 49-year-old Malaysian woman.
Police arrested six locals - four men and two women during the 6pm raid.
Johor Baru South district chief ACP Sulaiman Salleh said the remaining suspects were arrested at another location.
He said the suspects are aged between 17 and 26.
Police also seized a parang, 12 mobile phones, one ATM card, RM750 cash, a Perodua Alza belonging to one of the victims and a Perodua Myvi.
The case will be investigated under Section 363 of the Penal Code for kidnapping and Section 384 for extortion.
