KLANG: A fire destroyed shoplots along Jalan Sultan Alam Shah, Klang, here this morning.

However, no casualties were reported in the 8.40am incident.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Mohd Sani Harul said his men arrived at the scene soon after they received multiple distress calls from the public.

"The fire was brought under control at about 9.44am.

"23 personnel from Banting, Sepang and KLIA fire stations were deployed to the scene.

"Four out of eight shoplots affected were restaurants and electrical appliances shops," he said adding that the department are in the midst of ascertaining the cause of the fire.
