Police nab trader, seize drugs and ill-gotten property

TAIPING: Police arrested a 23-year-old man here yesterday and seized an assortment of drugs valued at RM15,000 as well as a car, a motorcycle and RM1,020.
Taiping Police chief ACP Harith Kam Abdullah said today the trader was picked up at a hotel in Jalan Kota at 4.30pm and was being held under remand for five days from today for investigation.
Police found an aluminium foil containing 10 Erimin 5 pills in a trouser pocket of the man.
"Police also found a paper bag containing 112 aluminium foils that had 1,120 Erimin 5 pills as well as a transparent plastic packet containing 40 plastic packets that had Ketamine in a room in the hotel," he said in a statement.
Harith Kam said police also seized a Nissan Almera car valued at RM50,000, a Honda Wave motorcycle valued at RM2,000 and RM1,020 which were believed to have been obtained from the sale of drugs.
He also said that man was believed to be a drug trafficker in the area. — Bernama
